2. Mining giant $Newmont Corp(NEM.AU)$ has concluded the A$26.2bn ($16.8bn) takeover of $NEWCREST MINING LIMITED(NCM.AU)$ in Oct.

6. Chile’s SQM has teamed up with Australia’s richest person, Gina Rinehart, to make a A$1.7 billion ($1.14 billion) bid for $Azure Minerals(AZS.AU)$ , the three parties said on 19th Dec.

7. United Malt, Australia's fourth-largest commercial maltster, has agreed a A$1.5 billion takeover offer from Malteries Soufflet, a subsidiary of French company InVivo.

8. Food retailer, $Costa Group Holdings Ltd(CGC.AU)$, has agreed to be acquired by a consortium led by private equity firm Paine Schwartz Partners, at A$1.5 bln.

9. $Genesis Minerals Ltd(GMD.AU)$ completed acquisition for $Dacian Gold Ltd(DCN.AU)$ of A$286 million.

10. $FLIGHT CENTRE TRAVEL GROUP L(FLT.AU)$ has signed an agreement to acquire Scott Dunn, a United Kingdom-based luxury travel brand, for A$211 million.
