Buying own company shares is good but we as an investor we need to know what type of investor we are at the first place.  if you are value investor focusing on company's fundamental and go for long term with high conviction, then, you have done your study with a game plan.  

In my opinion, his current buying shares is not really able to determine a long term strategy yet.  

I can imagine there are traders going to ride on this short term trend.
