It's interesting to see that without immigration, our NZ population would not really increase at all. I wonder what is changing in our day to day life to cause this effect? Maybe it is to do with more young couples wanting to persue careers rather than families, or it just could be that the cost of living in NZ is so out of whack, that it is just not financially feasible to actually consider raising a family at the moment. The new National government is so single visioned on criminals and small businesses, that there is no time or money left for the majority of the population - the average working class citizen. Even their recent minimum wage increase was well below inflation and even further below the living wage. Good on you National, keep the poor poorer and spend even more of our money giving criminals free food and shelter rather than sorting the underlying issue with the likes of rehabilitation and preventive measures.
