Will they flip or flop next week?

Dovish stance from the Fed at the conclusion of the latest FOMC meeting this week when the monetary policy makers continued to hold the Fed rate steady amidst sticky inflation but maintained its projection of 3 rate cuts before the end of this year has allowed the interest rate-sensitive technology sector to heave a sigh of relief and resume their climb. A resilient economy and robust job market have reinforced market's confidence of a soft-landing of the economy.

Cryptocurrency exchange $Coinbase Global, Inc.(COIN)$  has ridden on the spate of good news to approach its recent height, after earlier correction in the crypto market has sent crypto prices down. Expectations of rate cuts in the second half of this year will help to encourage trading of risky assets like cryptocurrencies, driving up trading volumes for Coinbase. Hence, I remain bullish on Coinbase as the cryptocurrency exchange platform benefits from increased trading on cryptocurrencies and as its revenue rises with custody fees as it acts as the custodian for most of the bitcoin spot ETFs.

With more and more companies jumping onto the artificial intelligence bandwagon, and the tech behemoths the likes of Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon investing heavily to develop and enhance their AI platforms, Nvidia has reportedly already sold tens of thousands of Blackwell GPUs before the next-generation architecture was announced. This signifies the enormous investments being made on semiconductor chips to drive the AI engines, and spells well for the overall semiconductor industry $Semiconductor Bull 3X Shares(SOXL)$ , as the semiconductor supply chain from semiconductor intellect properties, designs, equipment, materials, fabrication to assembly and testing thrive under the exploding demands for AI products and services.

Riding on the AI frenzy wave include $Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$  and $C3.ai, Inc.(AI)$ , which have been among the forerunners in launching their enterprise AI software and services, as businesses rush to build their enterprise-scale AI applications and accelerate digital transformations for their operations. While the share prices of the duo have advanced significantly since last year, I believe that the AI engine will propel the stocks to greater heights this year, as the duo continues to execute well and deliver on their AI strategies.

Turnouts at $AMC Entertainment(AMC)$  's theatre chain have fallen short of expectations after lifting of previous measures to contain the COVID pandemic does not seem to have brought back huge crowds expected to the cinemas of the largest theatre chain. Releases of blockbuster movies have done little to help too, as rising competition from the online movies streaming service providers the like of Netflix, Amazon and Disney have taken a toll on AMC, that has been struggling to attract viewers to stay competitive and remain relevant post pandemic, as the pandemic has changed forever the way many people would watch movies. AMC will have to quickly reinvent itself to adapt to the new normal or become obsolete.
