$Alphabet(GOOG)$ Google is my largest holding for full disclosure and I do hope they will succeed. I have not sold any yet but that is a HUGE gamble on all the above. Before I had a moat and business plan. Today I have fog on the horizon because it is anyone game but Google is best positioned even with OpenAI first to the party (although not actually as Google has been in AI for years...just held it back from public use in order to not self disrupt their cash cow of google search).

I'm usually towards the front end of technology movements as that is the space I operate in. Over the last year, my searches went from 100% Google to less than 1% Google today. I am now using Gemini Pro, ChatGPT, Claude, CoPilot as well as Perplexity and POE.com. Some I pay for because they are that good and save me hours of digging through Google results. This worries me as an investor.

So how does this change in Google's favor? Well, I'm hoping Google gets so good as it did in search that the need for me to have six tabs open to all these AI models today gets narrowed down to one or two, with Google Gemini being my primary. Today each model has its own strengths/weaknesses, so I find I often ask the same question to two or more. Even with that, it is far quicker and yields a better result than digging through traditional Google search results.

Google is more than just search although that is the bulk of their profits. YouTube, Android, Chrome, workspace, waymo, nest, and dozens of other services/products. All Google has to do is what it is great at, and AI has the potential to perhaps not actually be disruptive but to be a game changer in accelerating Google's growth trajectory. Only time will tell
