how sure we are that intel is securing the top customers? Intel literally need 10 years to breakeven. Even have their products manufacturing at TSMC
@bouncee:$Intel(INTC)$ that's just what we know about so far. They already landed Microsoft, and they've said there are 4 other large customers for 18A. There are countless news article speculating as to who these large 18A customers are. Other articles say Intel has landed 7 of the top 10 fabless companies as Foundry customers. Ericsson is a known customer. Ericsson had 5G chips using Intel 4, before Intel's Meteor Lake chips on Intel 4 were released. From about 1 year ago there was an announcement of "a leading cloud, edge, and datacenter solutions provider as a leading-edge customer for Intel 3". Mediatek is known customer and I believe Qualcomm. All of these companies are eager to try out Intel Foundry. Finally, TSMC is busting at the seams. Nvidia, Apple, and AMD, and even Intel (for GPU and Gaudi3 ) are pretty much taking up all of TSMC's capacity. So if Meta, Google, Amazon, Tesla, and others want to have chips made where will they turn? Intel Foundry has plenty of business lined up. And I haven't even talked about potential deals for advance packaging which lives under the Foundry umbrella. Disclaimer: Investing carries risk. This is not financial advice.
