Renergen (ASX:RLT) resumes liquid helium production facility operations

Renergen, a South African incorporated company, resumed its liquid helium production facility in June.

The move follows the completion of a scheduled shutdown for system checks, calibrations, and corrective actions, ensuring repeatability of the helium liquefaction process.

The company said the original equipment manufacturer contractor had brought the helium cold box back to the appropriate temperature.

Liquid helium is now being utilised to cool remaining components of the helium train to approximately -269 degrees Celsius.

The next step involves the OEM contractor demonstrating the operational efficacy of the entire plant before commencing a performance test that will span seven days.
