$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ $Intel(INTC)$ $Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ I don't have shares for chip manufactures but I am looking at AMD, INTC, and NVDA. It is noted that the PE are sky high. Why is it so high? NVDA is 71, Intel is 86 and AMD 175. It is too high for comfort. Only TSM has PE of 40 which is more reasonable. The cost of producing these chips must be very high to have this high PE. This is probably why Intel dropped like a rock when it reported loss last quarter. Thinking about buying some Intel shares but the PE is still too high even after it dropped over 30% since they reported earnings.
