Big companies are used to taking advantage of their power. Take Ctrip for example. For example, if a customer books a Singapore tour from September 28 to October 6 with them in the system for 300,000 yuan, they will collect the full amount. Then they book a Singapore tour with us, but they don’t pay us a penny. They ask us to advance 300,000 yuan to complete the tour. We have to start paying for the hotel at the end of August, but they won’t pay us until November 6. The 300,000 yuan will be kept in Ctrip’s account for two months, and they can use it for investment. Some tours are booked in April for August, but they will not pay until September. The tour fees will be kept in their account for more than four months. Then, one tour after another, the money we advance is getting more and more.
In the past, we would do such a full-funded business, but now we don’t have to do it anymore. Anyway, we have a stable customer base, and it is more cost-effective to use it for investment.
