Yesterday, tech stocks led the market decline due to weak ISM data and renewed doubts about AI. However, some stocks managed to rise strongly despite the downturn.

  • $Progressive(PGR)$, the insurance company, ended yesterday at $252.32, with a modest increase of 0.05% and an impressive YTD gain of 58.41%. PGR is a regular seen name in our "New Highs" column.

  • $Procter & Gamble(PG)$, the consumer goods giant we all know, saw a 1.74% rise yesterday, closing at $174.52, with a YTD gain of 19.09%.

  • $WELLTOWER OP LLC(WELL)$ , a REIT specializing in senior housing and healthcare facilities, closed at $122.06 yesterday, up 1.14%, with a YTD gain of 35.37%. REITs are indeed more sensitive to interest rates.

  • $AbbVie(ABBV)$ , the global biopharmaceutical powerhouse, rose 0.7% yesterday, closing at $197.69. The pharma giant has surged 27.57% YTD.
