$Intel(INTC)$ The $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ deal is definitely good news for Intel. I've said in the past, Intel's foundry wins will come from those who they don't compete in the consumer and datacenter market with. This includes $Microsoft(MSFT)$ $Alphabet(GOOG)$ $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ since they don't sell their own chips to third parties, they only care about producing their own.
That being said, Intel's next quarterly will still be terrible. They won't be seeing any of this money in time for blunting the blow that is coming. As such, I still think there is more short term pain coming (especially in the next quarterly) and a better time to buy will be later this year. The jury is still out on Lunar Lake, the only benchmarks we have are Intel's own and random posts from "leaks". There is light at the end of the tunnel though, the "leaks" seem to be promising, but I'll wait for full reviews before giving Intel's current design team a thumbs up.
Until now, we've only been seeing rehashed technologies from pre-Gelsinger. The time to show proof is now for Intel's CPU and GPU architecture teams. We'll know in a few weeks.
