$Intel(INTC)$ Right now, Intel is being valued as a collection of arguably distressed assets. To me, this move will at least serve to highlight the value of both the design and the manufacturing side of the business. If the design side can become competitive and the fab business can successfully compete the total valuation could be dramatically higher in a few years. When I think about chip companies, it seems like they are in the dog house until they are not. In a way this allows Intel to be “fabless” just like $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ . I think these assets are very valuable and that Intel is strategically important to the US when it comes to designing and manufacturing chips. I bought more around $20/ share.
