$Amazon.com(AMZN)$ Amazon ( AMZN ) has not seen a sharp drop in subscribers since it introduced ads to its Prime Video platform eight months ago
It had deliberately started with very light ad-load.
Amazon plan to ramp up the ad-load in 2025, per Kelly Day, vice president of Prime Video International.
Also, Amazon will introduce interactive and shoppable ad formats enabling viewers to add an item to their cart without leaving movie.
In Q2 2024, revenue from Ads was $12.8B i.e ~$50B run rate business which will grow further once the above mentioned improvements are done.
