$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$
He's ignoring the fundamental car business for pie-in-the-sky future things like self driving, robotaxi, AI and humanoid robots. This is risky at best, negligent at worst. If the company is looking to increase outside of autos, why not talk up energy storage more? That's a field where they actually do have leading edge tech and a strong growth potential.
Self driving - still seems they have a long way to go towards unsupervised FSD. And limiting their hardware to vision-only could be a critical blunder. And meanwhile, plenty of other automakers now have self driving options.
Robotaxi - can someone tell me why anyone should be excited about this? Seems like Tesla is looking to show up late to a party already dominated by Waymo.
AI - Tesla talks a lot about it, but is there any real use case, outside of maybe making FSD better?
Humanoid robots - they aren't the first here, other companies have offerings at least as good if not better, and the market doesn't even exist yet. It could be decades before this is a significant market, and who knows who will be the tech leader at that time.
