My question is how does mstr goes up. Does mstr go up physically when bitcoin goes up and no one buys or sell it - or does people buy mstr just when bitcoin moves? Thank you!

MSTR is bought and sold like any other stock, independent of bitcoin. However, people and algorithms know about how much bitcoin MSTR has, and there is historical record of correlation. So when bitcoin goes up, or when people/algorithms expect it to go up, they may also buy MSTR.
