$Amazon.com(AMZN)$

The arms race between Microsoft, Amazon, and Google is a game of chess. Every time Microsoft upgrades, Amazon has the incentive to upgrade to keep up. And vice versa. We are currently in the midst of the largest competitive upgrade cycle in world history among the three companies, which have a total value of over $7 trillion. In each cycle of upgrades, there is a simple rationale - we have enough money to afford it. More commitments lead to more confidence, and this cycle becomes self-reinforcing. Supply constraints exacerbate this dynamic: if you don't secure land, power, and labor now, someone else will.
