Looks like MARA performed some sort of upgrade to MARA Pool a few days ago. Each new MARA block mined now has a tag that reads "MARA Made in USA 🇺🇸", an advantage of running your own pool, and of having the technical expertise and the guts to do it (rather than be hoist up by mining in big third-party pools like the lesser miners). MARA gets to avoid paying a pool fee, it gets to tweak and customize their block templates, and their pool can handle all sorts of transactions, no matter how complex or non-standard, so long as they are conformant to the bitcoin network. No other miner compares to MARA
