$TENCENT(00700)$

Unlike other companies, Tencent's share buyback plan has become somewhat passive due to its major shareholder, Prosus, reducing its stake. From Q2 2022 to Q1 2024, Prosus has sold off 442 million shares, amounting to approximately HK$151.3 billion, decreasing its ownership from 28.7% to 24.6%. Without the support of a buyback plan, investors might panic and sell off their Tencent shares, which poses significant risks.
