In 2020, TSMC $Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ peaked at over 90, while SMIC reached a high of 45. Now, TSMC is over 200, but SMIC struggles to hold even 30. Over the past four years, SMIC has clearly strengthened its capabilities and market coverage, and the market outlook seems promising. So why hasn’t the stock price followed suit? The answer is simple: the main players are shaking out weak hands. It doesn’t look great.
