$Tesla (TSLA)$ reported quarterly earnings on Wednesday that beat Wall Street expectations.

The electric vehicle maker posted earnings per share of $0.62, well above analysts' forecast of $0.51. Revenue for the quarter came in at $25.18 billion, slightly below estimates, but up 8% year-over-year. Tesla's gross margin rose to 19.6%, a key figure closely watched by investors.

In the automotive segment, Tesla confirmed plans to start production of ultra-low-cost vehicles and new models in the first half of next year. The company also announced that its Cybertruck, which began deliveries in November, has reached positive gross margins for the first time. Despite economic challenges, Tesla expects full-year deliveries to slightly surpass last year's levels.

During the earnings call, CEO Elon Musk mentioned that next year's deliveries could grow by 20% to 30%, though he called this a "best guess." Musk also discussed Tesla’s Robotaxi prototype, Cybercab, which was recently unveiled and is set for mass production in 2026 with a target of 2 million units annually.
