$Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$ $Wal-Mart(WMT)$ has a potential U.S. customer base of 330 million (and several billion globally). It is quite likely that fully 180 or 200 million people of that U.S customer base, use WMT at least a couple of times a month. PLTR (if they get a contract with WMT) will have one customer, WMT. And PLTR will sell their product to that customer.

With, no doubt, an ongoing maintenance and development contract. That's terrific if they do get a contract but PLTR is not selling to the public consumer base, they are selling to enterprises like Walmart. I'm pretty bullish on this name, never fear.

But comparing PLTR to companies that sell directly to customers is not only inaccurate, but it can lead to poor decisions about investment allocation. If people think "this is the next $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ " or "the new $Apple(AAPL)$ " they are liable to make long term investment decisions that will sink their money into a name for many, many years.
