Recently, I visited a
$POP MART(09992)$ store in Shanghai and was astonished by the sky-high prices of their toys! Given the current economic climate - high interest rates and looming recession risks - I wondered how young consumers could afford such luxury items.
However, Pop Mart's stellar H1 2024 results provide clarity:
- Revenue growth: +55% YoY
- Profit growth: +90% YoY
These impressive figures suggest that the company's unique blend of art toys, collectibles, and limited-edition releases continues to resonate with consumers, defying economic headwinds.
As a trader, I may not be able to own the expensive toys, but I can certainly monitor the stock and look for opportunities to enter at key support prices.
