A basic example of the trees getting lost in the woods - confusion on the basis of information overload. In other words I prefer a key point numerical summary of facts covering income and expenses with a summary glossary covering key changes with the most significant weighting - i.e.
Income Weighting Approach FY23/24
Area % total income Gain/Loss Multiple
Residential 40% Down 20% 0.8
Commercial 50%. Up 35% 1.35
Miscellaneous 10% Up 90%. 1.9
And so on and so forth and obviously with corresponding monetary figures relating to actual $ amounts in columns further along the table, but I'm not in xcl and not much room on my phone 📱
Same with expenses, then a total overall profit/loss summary in $$
Numbers are clear cut - deciphering the real picture with to much verbal noise distorts the narrative, so best keep it basic as possible to appreciate the bigger picture
It's a numbers game after all so let's cut out the verbal distortion - KIS - Keep It Simple
