TEXAS - Tesla will reportedly launch a new affordable electric vehicle (EV) known as the "Model Q" in the first half of 2025.
This information emerged from a Deutsche Bank report after the AutoTech Conference which took place on December 5 2024, which was also attended by Tesla's Head of Investor Relations, Travis Axelrod.
It is estimated that this car will be sold at a starting price of £30,000 or less than USD30,000 after subsidies.
This EV will be developed based on Tesla's existing platform, but further details regarding its size, design and differences with other models such as the Model 3 have not been revealed.
The same report also states that Tesla may launch additional models to expand the market and achieve a growth target of up to 30 percent.
One of the new models being predicted is the long wheelbase version of the Model Y with three rows of seats, which is targeting the Chinese market but has the potential to attract buyers in other countries.
Tesla also plans to introduce driverless taxi services in California and Texas in 2025.
The service will use human-assisted Model 3 and Model Y for safety purposes.
This is expected to precede the launch of a fully robotic vehicle, known as a “Cybercab,” planned for 2026.
But Tesla also warned that the launch of the new model may have a temporary impact on the company's profits, especially because of the investment needed to increase production capacity.
Although this information has raised a lot of speculation, Tesla has not released an official statement regarding the Model Q or the launch schedule for its self-driving taxi service.
I have a target that Tesla will touch $500 more by the close of 2025. This makes the era of electric cars bright and opens up opportunities for the Tesla company, which is also the company that produces the largest electric cars in the US.
