Clearly the folks writing this article have no idea how ubiquitous CHATGPT, GROK, PERPLEXITY , DEEPSEEK have become. almost everyone I know go to these platforms to search and almost never use heir browser. So if Google is reporting growing numbers going forward, someone audit them. Unless they count opening their Google Chrome browser as one search each time a user opens up. Otherwise, all the people I know use AI first to get to the source directly. Darn Google is a search Dino. And search is a huge revenue contributor. Google will diminish in next 10 years. Long live AI.
