TRUMP SAYS U.S. WILL SET TARIFF RATES IN COMING WEEKS
President Trump said the U.S. will unilaterally set tariffs for many countries soon.
Speaking on his Middle East tour, the president said 150 countries were seeking to making a deal, "but you're not able to see that many countries."
He said Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick would tell countries what import duties the U.S. plans to impose.
"So at a certain point over the next two to three weeks, I think Scott and Howard will be sending letters out, essentially telling people- it will be very fair but we will be telling people what they will be paying to do business in the United States," he said.
