Trump's postponement of additional tariffs on the European Union, coupled with a sharp rebound in the U.S. consumer confidence index, stimulated investors' risk appetite. After falling for five consecutive months, the consumer confidence index rebounded in May. This wave of recovery had already begun to emerge before the China-U.S. trade agreement was reached on May 12, and the momentum became more obvious afterwards.
