💰 Stocks to Watch Today (4 Aug)

1. Market Movers & News to Watch:

• AMD (AMD): Still in focus post-earnings. The dust is settling—will we see buyers step in, or more profit-taking as AI euphoria cools?

• Nvidia (NVDA): Bouncing after sector volatility. Watch for sympathy moves if chip stocks show renewed strength.

• Coinbase (COIN): Shares dipped after weak Q2 revenue and shrinking trading volumes. Still volatile—crypto price swings may offer quick scalping opportunities.

• Figma (FIG): After an explosive IPO rally (+250%), can the stock hold above $100, or will we see a classic post-IPO pullback?

• Palantir (PLTR): Earnings are coming up—lots of anticipation around AI growth and new contracts. Could see a pre-earnings run-up.

• Singapore Banks (DBS, OCBC, UOB): Earnings updates are out. Watching for reaction to dividends and margin trends, plus any spillover to Asia’s bank sector.

• China Tech/HSI: HSI above 25,000 remains a key level—China ETFs (YINN, KWEB) still active for momentum traders.

2. Trading Opportunities & My Plans:

• AMD/NVDA: Looking to play bounces off support—will add on weakness if macro and sector stay supportive.

• COIN: May scalp on intraday reversals if BTC/ETH rebound.

• FIG: Watching for IPO volatility—could fade a spike or buy a sharp dip.

• PLTR: Considering a small pre-earnings call spread if implied volatility isn’t overblown.

• Banks/REITs: Defensive picks—monitoring for further strength in Singapore names post-earnings.

Strategy:

Keep size small and nimble—lots of earnings volatility and headline risk. Lock in profits quickly, use stops, and don’t be afraid to sit on your hands if the market gets choppy.
