Hi everyone! I am back again this week (Sep 29) with an update on my option investing journey.

For new reader, may refer to my Recap section on the context.

Now straight to my update...

💰 Progress So Far:

1. I have collected another 1.25 USD in premium this week — bringing my total to 16.00 USD, which is approximately 1.52% p.a. to date on my capital.

2. I have managed to save up another 1,300 SGD. So I am going to top-up another $1K USD into Tiger, and get the monthly Single Deposit for 200 Tiger point.

This also means that I can now attempt to SELL another Protected PUT option.

I shall update my strategy after I have made my deposit . (After 1 Oct 2025)

I started with 1,400 SGD / 1,050 USD in spare savings — just sitting in the bank earning minimal interest. Instead of letting it idle, I am testing if I can generate better returns through options investing.

I officially began this journey on August 12, 2025, and chose to invest in an ETF related to Tesla (TSLL) — primarily because of its exposure to Tesla and its dividend yield.

💼 What I've Done:

A. I am selling weekly Protective Put options expiring on 3rd Oct 2025.

That means I am setting aside 1,050 USD in my Tiger account in case I need to purchase 100 shares of TSLL at $10.50 or below (1 option contract = 100 shares).

However, for this week, as TSLL price had raised above 20.00 USD, and I am not able to get any Buyer for Protect PUT at 10.00 USD.

So, I am selling a Protect PUT at 14.50 USD instead, there will be a risk to purchase this using Margin.

B. I check in once a week — super manageable, about 10 minutes weekly.

C. I plan to repeat this weekly until I eventual

ly accumulate 100 shares of TSLL.
