AMD topped the performance charts after OpenAI announced a multi-year chip-supply deal with AMD—boosting demand expectations for AMD’s Instinct AI accelerators; the news triggered hefty analyst upgrades, strong buy flows into AI/semiconductor names and large ETF/derivative positioning, sending AMD sharply higher.
