Malaysia edging past Thailand is logical: RM is cheaper, land access is convenient, and domestic/regional flows are strong. Thailand is still iconic, but more dependent on long-haul sentiment.

Singapore stays top-10 because of safety, quality, infrastructure and strong airport/urban services. It is a premium “hub city”, not a resort playground.

Personally, SG is great for short, efficient, high-quality city time. But for real vacation vibes — beaches, nature, slower pace — Malaysia / Vietnam / Indonesia offer better value and more “holiday per dollar”.

So: SG for comfort & convenience; SEA region for actual holiday mode.
