$SIA Engineering(S59.SI)$: The group on Friday announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding with Air India to explore opportunities to collaborate in maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) aspects. It will leverage SIA Engineering’s MRO and technical expertise, as well as Air India’s airline operations network, to jointly develop a world-class MRO ecosystem in India as part of the venture. Shares of SIA Engineering rose 0.3 per cent to close S$0.01 higher at S$3.47 on Friday before the news.
$Boustead(F9D.SI)$: Its unit Boustead Medical Care Holdings on Friday acquired a 60 per cent stake in a urology robotics company through a S$6 million equity injection. Boustead said the investment will expand its healthcare technology portfolio into “the rapidly growing precision urology and oncology field, (while positioning) the group to capitalise on emerging trends in artificial intelligence-driven technology”. Boustead shares rose 2.5 per cent to close S$0.05 higher at S$2.09 on Friday, before the announcement.

Singapore enters next phase of 5G roll-out as telcos achieve nationwide coverage; customer transition in progress
Singapore’s mobile operators have begun migrating their customers to standalone (SA) 5G services, marking the next phase of the country’s 5G roll-out with all four operators having achieved nationwide coverage.
The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) told The Business Times that despite having achieved full SA coverage, some mobile network operators have been allowed to continue using their older non-SA (NSA) networks during the transition even as they deploy the 5G-SA.
IMDA, which set out its vision for Singapore to use 5G-SA networks in 2020, said the following year that the infrastructure was on track to cover the whole nation by the end of 2025.
PM Wong to visit Jakarta on Monday for annual leaders’ retreat with Indonesia’s Prabowo
Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong will visit Jakarta on Monday (Jul 6) for the annual Singapore-Indonesia Leaders’ Retreat, where he will meet Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
The visit will mark the second leaders’ retreat between the two leaders. The annual meeting is the highest-level platform for Singapore and Indonesia to review bilateral ties and chart the direction of cooperation between the two South-east Asian neighbours.
