  • KMD Brands expects total sales to reach up to NZ$1.04 billion for the 2026 financial year.

  • The group projects underlying earnings to rise up to NZ$41 million while net debt increases.

  • Kathmandu sales improvements and Oboz footwear growth continue to drive group revenue targets.

Outdoor retail group KMD Brands (ASX:KMD) expects full-year group sales to reach up to NZ$1.44 billion for the 2026 financial year.

The projected sales figures represent a 5% increase at the midpoint compared to the prior financial year.

"Direct-to-consumer same store sales for Kathmandu increased by 4.8% over the first 24 weeks of the second half, while Rip Curl declined by 2.8%," said KMD Brands in a statement.

Group underlying earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation are expected to land between NZ$38 million and NZ$41 million, while net debt is forecast to reach NZ$63 million to NZ$66 million.

Following the announcement, the KMD Brands share price was down at $1.41.

The retail operator attributed its debt level changes to altered supplier payment terms and additional inventory investments to counter potential supply chain disruptions.

The company stated that its footwear brand Oboz returned to year-on-year sales growth in the fourth quarter following new product launches and strong online demand.
