$Applied Optoelectronics(AAOI)$ Q2 2026 recap: the growth story is still about demand vs. capacity.

Another record revenue quarter, marking five straight quarters of new highs, while the company returned to non-GAAP profitability.

The biggest driver: 800G products are ramping fast, with volume more than doubling QoQ. Demand for high-speed optics and 1.8 GHz CATV products continues to push results higher.

The key takeaway: customers want more than AAOI can currently produce. Demand is expected to outpace capacity through mid-2027.

Capacity is expanding fast, targeting ~650K monthly units of 800G and 1.6Tb products by year-end. Growth is strong, but execution on the ramp remains the focus.
