How big is Anthropic’s claimed market opportunity? Almost as large as the entire U.S. economy.
Anthropic has reportedly placed the floor of its addressable market at more than $30 trillion. That is equivalent to at least 92.6% of projected 2026 U.S. GDP and slightly above SpaceX’s estimated $28.5 trillion opportunity.
Both figures dwarf the headline market estimates associated with many of the world’s best-known private companies. However, scale requires context: these are company marketing estimates rather than forecasts, and the markets cannot simply be added together because SpaceX’s $26.5 trillion AI segment overlaps with Anthropic’s opportunity.
The comparison highlights just how expansive the ambitions behind today’s leading private companies have become.
