U.S. technology stocks mostly declined on Tuesday (1 September) amid a global bond sell-off, geopolitical tensions and renewed inflation concerns.
Among DLC-covered underlyings, memory stocks $Micron Technology(MU)$ and $SanDisk Corp.(SNDK)$ fell 2.6% and 1.9%, respectively.
The moves lifted the Micron 3x Short DLC (1J9W) by about 7.8% and the Sandisk 3x Short DLC (NNSW) by about 5.7%, with the Micron 3x Long (VV9W) and Sandisk 3x Long (ZIPW) DLCs declining a similar magnitude respectively.
The broad decline dragged the $NASDAQ 100(NDX)$ 1.29% lower. Amplifying the move, the Nasdaq 7x Short DLC (FFIW) surged around 9%, with the Nasdaq 7x Long DLC (MFVW) declining by approximately the same magnitude.
Key events on the market calendar include $Broadcom(AVGO)$ ’s earnings release after the U.S. market close on Wednesday (2 September), followed by U.S. jobs data on Friday (4 September).
SGX-listed Long and Short U.S. DLCs, including the newly launched 5x DLCs on the Magnificent 7 stocks, track overnight price movements in selected U.S. stocks and indices during SGX market hours.
They allow investors to express bullish or bearish views by gaining leveraged or inverse exposure to market-moving events, including earnings releases, that occur outside regular U.S. trading hours.
