Top movers alert: HSI call warrants gain between 41% to 100% as Hong Kong leads Asian rebound

🔝As the Hang Seng September futures jump 2.5% to 25,760 as of 1007AM to lead the Asian rebound this morning, the top warrant gainers tabled is peppered with HSI call warrants which have rallied as much as 100%

The top warrant losers on the other hand, is populated by HSI put warrants with losses up to 67%. Amongst them, HSI put warrants JTDW (https://warrants.com.sg/tools/livematrix/JTDW) and NPJW (https://warrants.com.sg/tools/livematrix/NPJW) is seeing strong demand by investors who believe that the index futures will pull back from current levels

The optimism is fuelled by Fed Governor Christopher Waller's comments that he would support keeping rates steady if inflation continued moving toward the Fed’s 2% target, leading the market to reduce their odds of a quarter-point hike in September to 50%, down from about 70% earlier this week

👀Attention now turns to tonight's US nonfarm payrolls report. A strong number will increase the pressure for a rate hike while a lower than expected number will add to the market's lowered expectation for a hike

Earlier this week on Tuesday, China had announced August PMI numbers that showed an expansion of 51.5 - above expectations for a 51.0 increase

🔼This is China's fastest manufacturing growth in 3 months, driven by stronger demand and capacity expansion, while new orders grew at a quicker rate on the back of the sharpest rise in new export business in six months (Reuters)
