💹This morning, the $Japanese Yen - Sep 2026(JPY2609)$ strengthened as much as 0.5% to 153.53 after rallying 1.2% overnight, taking its monthly gains to almost 4% and to its strongest level in 6 months
The current level of the yen has surpassed the peak of 157.17 on 3 Aug after US and Japan jointly intervened in late July to support the yen
The $Nikkei 225 Index(N225.JP)$ September futures are currently trading 0.2% higher to 66,550 as of 1015AM, adding to its 2.1% jump yesterday (also the index's best day in a month)
📈The index is now up 3.6% over four days
The stronger yen - which will put pressure on Japanese exporters - alongside rising oil prices which have risen another 1% today to USD 92.34, will be testing the Nikkei225's bullish resolve and ability to push past the psychological 67,000 level
