Apple is gearing up for one of its biggest product launches of the year on September 9, the first major event led by John Ternus as CEO after Tim Cook's departure. The main announcement is expected to be Apple's first foldable iPhone, possibly called the iPhone Ultra, with a passport-style design and one of the biggest changes to the iPhone lineup since it first launched.
Apple is also expected to show the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, featuring the A20 chip, upgraded cameras, a smaller Dynamic Island, new colors, and on the Pro Max, a larger battery and variable-aperture camera. New Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 models plus AirPods 5 are also reportedly in the works, with improvements to performance, health features, connectivity, sound and battery life.
The company is expected to introduce iOS 27 with new AI capabilities, along with updates to the Apple TV, HomePod mini and a new HomePad smart-home device.
