Please correct me if I am wrong...$2 per gallon will be $84 per barrel. Makes sense. But $3 per gallon will be $126 per barrel. So, the price will first increase to $126 and then fall to $84 per barrel?

The $2 per gallon refers to the retail price of gasoline, not the price of crude oil. If the retail price of gasoline falls to $2 per gallon, the corresponding crude oil price would typically be around $50-65 per barrel.

Thanks for clarifying. Appreciate it. That would be a massive drop in crude I think (if it ever happens)
