iPhone Duo Sales Estimates Raised — Can Apple Keep Defying the Selloff?
Apple rose 3.56%, one of few large-cap gainers on a down day, on post-launch unit estimates. Goldman models 14m Duos in its base case, 35m in the bull case — a 2.5x spread; the Duo starts at $1,999 and tops out at $3,199, under the rumored $2,200–2,500, and ships October 23. The low entry price is the upgrade-cycle argument. Against it: IDC still sees foldables under 3% of global shipments in 2026, and even 14m units is a single-digit share of Apple's annual volume. Buy the upgrade cycle, or wait for first-weekend supply data after Oct 23?

Base case feels most likely, AI features help but margins matter more than the hype lol
