Singapore Stocks That Reversed 1H26 Institutional Outflows in 3Q26

Among Singapore’s large-cap stocks, $YZJ Shipbldg SGD(BS6.SI)$ and $Keppel(BN4.SI)$ have more than reversed 1H26 net institutional outflows with net institutional inflows in 3Q26. This means Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings has now chalked up S$180 million in net institutional flow for 2026 to Sep 22, after reversing a net outflow of S$40 million in 1H26 with net institutional inflow of S$219 million in 3Q26.

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding’s August 1H26 results presentation highlighted record revenue of RMB17.5 billion, up 36.2% from a year earlier, while net profit attributable to shareholders increased 28.4% to RMB5.4 billion. The group also reported an outstanding orderbook of US$22.4 billion across 256 vessels, providing earnings visibility into 2030.

Keppel has similarly chalked up S$123 million in net institutional flow in the 2026 year to Sep 22, after reversing net outflow of S$36 million in 1H26 with net inflow of S$159 million in 3Q26. Keppel’s Investor Day presentation in August highlighted S$106 billion of funds under management as at July 2026, alongside 1H26 net profit of S$530 million and annualised ROE of 15%. The group also noted it had achieved its 2026 monetisation target with approximately S$2.1 billion of announced monetisations year-to-date, while outlining a pathway to S$200 billion of funds under management by end-2030.

Meanwhile, $ThaiBev(Y92.SI)$ has also reversed more than 90% of its 1H26 net institutional outflow. Net institutional outflow narrowed to S$2 million for the 2026 year to Sep 22, after the stock recorded net institutional outflow of S$34 million in 1H26 and net institutional inflow of S$32 million in 3Q26. Thai Beverage’s August 9MFY26 business update in August reported EBITDA growth of 7.2% to Baht 48.3 billion despite revenue declining 1.8% to Baht 254.0 billion. EBITDA for its spirits business increased 6.6% while beer EBITDA rose 10.4, with both segments benefiting from margin expansion. 

Among around 40 stocks with market capitalisations between S$90 million and S$10 billion, nine reversed 1H26 net institutional outflows into net institutional inflows in 3Q26, while a further 28 recorded partial reversals. Real Estate was the most prominent sector, accounting for four of the nine full reversals through $CityDev(C09.SI)$ $Centurion(OU8.SI)$ $Hiap Hoe(5JK.SI)$ $Ho Bee Land(H13.SI)$, while $EliteUKREIT GBP(MXNU.SI)$ $Keppel DC Reit(AJBU.SI)$ added two REITs to the cohort.

The partial reversals ranged from less than 1% to almost 98% of 1H26 net institutional outflow. $Bonvests(B28.SI)$ reversed 97.5%, $IX Biopharma(42C.SI)$ 90.7%, $ResourcesGbl(V7R.SI)$ 62.9%, $Armstrong World(AWI)$ 60.7% and $Lendlease Reit(JYEU.SI)$ 54.5%, while $StarHub(CC3.SI)$ reversed 46.4%. Within this broader group, Hiap Hoe, Elite UK REIT, Keppel DC REIT, iX Biopharma and StarHub also paired net institutional inflows with double-digit growth in average daily turnover (ADT) in 3Q26 relative to 1H26.

Hiap Hoe booked S$2.4 million of net institutional inflow in 3Q26, reversing a S$0.8 million net outflow in 1H26 and bringing net institutional flow for 2026 to Sep 22 to S$1.6 million. Its 3Q26 ADT more than doubled from 1H26 levels. August 1H26 results reported revenue growth of 5.3% to S$65.3 million, while net profit attributable to shareholders more than tripled to S$17.1 million. Elite UK REIT booked S$0.6 million of net institutional inflow in 3Q26, reversing a S$0.4 million net outflow in 1H26. Its 3Q26 ADT was 17.9% higher than in 1H26. Its 1H26 results reported DPU of 1.55 pence, the highest in three years, while NAV per unit increased 10% year-to-date to £0.44 following lease regears and new lease agreements with the UK Government. Portfolio occupancy stood at 99.9% with pro-forma WALE extending to 7.1 years. At its August EGM, Elite UK REIT highlighted a proposed £31.9 million acquisition of five UK properties that would broaden its government tenant base to include HMRC alongside the Department for Work and Pensions. Management noted the acquisition carries a WALE of about 13 years, with its largest asset leased until April 2047.

Keppel DC REIT recorded S$9.8 million of net institutional inflow in 3Q26, reversing a S$7.0 million net outflow in 1H26 and lifting net institutional flow for 2026 to Sep 22 to S$2.8 million. Its 3Q26 ADT increased 31.8% from 1H26 levels. Its 1H26 results reported 15.1% growth in net property income and an 11.3% increase in DPU to 5.714 cents, while its September private placement was launched to partly fund the acquisition of two Tokyo data centres.

iX Biopharma reversed more than 90% of its 1H26 net institutional outflow, with S$1.5 million of net institutional inflow in 3Q26 offsetting a S$1.7 million net outflow in 1H26. Its 3Q26 ADT increased 88.9% from 1H26 levels. In August, its FY26 results reported a 19% increase in gross profit and gross margin expansion to 36% from 26%, while its net loss narrowed 21% to S$8.0 million. Cash and cash equivalents also increased to S$14.7 million as the company shifted its revenue base towards the US market, supported by a US Department of Defense contract. On 7 September, the company announced that the US Government had opened an emergency pathway that cleared the way for Wafermine's application for Emergency Use Authorisation.

StarHub reversed almost half of its 1H26 net institutional outflow, with S$9.6 million of net institutional inflow in 3Q26 offsetting S$20.8 million of net institutional outflow in 1H26. Its 3Q26 average daily turnover increased 30.0% from 1H26 levels. In it August, its 1H26 results highlighted continued enterprise momentum, with Regional Enterprise and Managed Services won orderbooks increasing approximately 49% and 52% respectively from a year earlier, while maintaining FY26 dividend guidance.
