Rocket Lab announced a multiyear agreement with Synspective covering 20 Electron launches, its largest commercial launch contract so far. The deal is for Rocket Lab to launch 20 StriX synthetic-aperture radar satellites into sun-synchronous orbit from Launch Complex 1 between 2028 and 2031. Financial terms were not disclosed.
This brings Synspective's total contracted Electron missions to 47, making the Tokyo-based Earth-observation company Rocket Lab's largest launch customer. Synspective said Electron's precision and reliability have been critical to scaling its StriX satellite constellation, while the 20 dedicated launches provide greater certainty for its long-term expansion.
Rocket Lab CEO Peter Beck described the deal as a vote of confidence in Electron's launch cadence, mission reliability and orbital accuracy.
