Conditional view: the rebound is plausible as an oversold bounce, but it is not yet technically sustainable. The business recovery is real, yet the chart still shows a damaged downtrend and the valuation remains demanding for a cyclical semiconductor-test supplier.

, your SGD 8.09 reference price is 28.28% below the SGD 11.28 peak and only 7.15% above the SGD 7.55 intraday low on 2026-10-26. The latest available quote is SGD 7.96 as of 2026-10-28, with no traded volume recorded so far that day; this should not be treated as confirmation of a rebound.

What supports the bounce

Oversold technical condition: RSI(6) reached 18.57 on 2026-10-26, then improved to 28.08. That is consistent with a short-term relief rally after aggressive selling.

The drawdown was accompanied by heavy turnover, suggesting capitulation rather than a quiet drift: volume on 2026-10-22 and 2026-10-23 was 7.0m and 7.5m shares respectively, versus the 62-session average of about 4.7m shares. The 2026-10-27 recovery close at SGD 7.96 came with 5.7m shares.

Fundamentals have improved materially: 2026H1 revenue was SGD 247.2m, up 29.93% year on year; operating profit was SGD 36.7m, up 232.52%; net profit was SGD 31.0m, up 903.96% from a low base. Q2 revenue and net profit were also higher quarter on quarter.

Balance-sheet risk appears contained: at 2026H1, liabilities were SGD 170.7m against SGD 712.9m in assets, for a 23.94% debt ratio.

Why I would not call it a confirmed reversal

The trend is still negative: at the latest reading, SGD 7.96 sits below its 5-day, 10-day, 20-day and 30-day moving averages of SGD 7.97, SGD 8.37, SGD 9.47 and SGD 9.54. MACD remains negative, with DIF at -0.50 versus DEA at -0.27.

The prior support area has become overhead supply: the 20-day Bollinger midline is SGD 9.47, while the 10-day moving average is SGD 8.37. These levels are more relevant confirmation tests than a one-day bounce from the low.

Valuation has eased but is not cheap on current profitability: trailing P/E is 56.76x, P/B is 4.74x, and the market cap is SGD 2.55bn. The stock is valued at about 4.73x its reported 2026H1 book value per share of SGD 1.681. That leaves limited room for an earnings recovery to disappoint.

Cash conversion softened despite higher earnings: 2026H1 operating cash flow was SGD 12.5m, down 73.15% year on year, compared with the sharp rise in reported profit. This does not negate the recovery, but it makes working-capital and cash-flow follow-through important.

What would make the rebound more credible

A durable rebound would require the price to establish above the short-term average cluster around SGD 8.37, followed by recovery toward the 20-day area near SGD 9.47 with sustained volume. Fundamentally, the next results need to show that revenue growth, margins and operating cash flow remain aligned—not just an accounting-profit recovery.

The main risks to the constructive case are:

a renewed semiconductor-test demand or customer-order slowdown that prevents the H1 earnings recovery from extending; and

another break below the SGD 7.55 recent low, which would indicate that oversold buying has failed and the downtrend remains dominant.
