π± My QQQM Winning Trade: Building Wealth Through the Nasdaq 100
π± A green day for my QQQM portfolio!
Another winning trade to share with everyone. My Invesco NASDAQ 100 ETF (QQQM) position is showing an unrealised profit of US$246.59. While this may not be the biggest profit in my portfolio, I believe the more important thing is having a consistent investment strategy and allowing time to work in my favour.
I like QQQM because it gives me exposure to some of the biggest and most influential companies in the United States. Instead of trying to guess which individual technology stock will outperform, I can invest in a basket of established companies through one ETF.
π± Why do I like QQQM?
QQQM tracks the Nasdaq-100 Index, which consists of 100 of the largest non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq exchange.
Some familiar names among its major holdings include:
* Microsoft
* NVIDIA
* Apple
* Amazon
* Alphabet (Google)
* Meta Platforms
* Broadcom
* Tesla
* Costco
* Netflix
These are companies that play important roles in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, semiconductors, e-commerce, digital advertising and consumer technology.
I particularly like having exposure to AI and semiconductor companies because I believe these industries will continue to influence how businesses operate over the coming years.
π± 1οΈβ£ Why am I making this trade now?
My investment thesis is based on the long-term growth potential of the American technology sector.
Technology companies are investing heavily in artificial intelligence, data centres, cloud infrastructure and automation. These developments require enormous amounts of computing power, software and semiconductor equipment.
NVIDIA supplies advanced chips, Microsoft invests in cloud infrastructure, Amazon operates AWS, while Alphabet and Meta continue developing their own AI ecosystems.
I do not expect every technology stock to rise every day. In fact, I expect corrections, profit-taking and periods of market uncertainty.
However, I prefer to look at the bigger picture rather than panic whenever the market experiences a temporary decline.
My strategy is to accumulate quality exposure gradually instead of trying to predict the exact market bottom.
π± 2οΈβ£ Whatβs my plan from here?
I intend to continue holding my QQQM position as part of my longer-term investment portfolio.
If the market experiences a meaningful correction, I will evaluate whether it presents another opportunity to accumulate additional units.
If prices become too expensive, I do not need to rush into buying. I can keep some cash available and wait for better entry opportunities.
I also want to avoid concentrating all my capital in individual technology stocks. QQQM gives me diversified exposure across multiple companies, although I understand that it remains heavily influenced by large technology and growth stocks.
π± My personal investment philosophy
I believe wealth building is not always about finding the next stock that can double overnight.
Sometimes, it is about owning productive businesses, investing consistently and allowing compounding to work over time.
My US$246.59 profit is a small milestone, but every milestone counts.
I will continue watching the Nasdaq, interest rates, corporate earnings and developments in artificial intelligence.
Slowly accumulate, manage risk and let time do its job. π±
