For the most part, insider buying and selling provides no information at all. With few exceptions insiders only buy when they have options that are set to expire, and they sell under pre-established 10-b51 plans with sales dates set far in advance. Directors and officers don't generally buy shares in the open market, since they receive regular awards of stock units that vest over time. The idea that they are buying or selling based on inside information is nonsense, and would subject them to serious legal liability. $Enphase Energy(ENPH)$
