Traditional car automaker will need to go thru change in their previous investment in petrol production line to EV production line.. huge investment loss to write off.. hence the speed of EV plan is slow.

    agree. but they can also channel their profits from ICE sales to build their future in EV. then existing investors can benefit from this investment. it is all in execution - how well can they execute?

      this has to do it gradually. as big move means more machine need to be through away and also will impact the supply chain.. the staff/ job of the existing supply chain.

    They will not just sit back and watch EV companies overtake them I think, with the case of Nokia with mobile phones being a historical lesson.
