$Sea Ltd(SE)$ [Happy]
Shopee has become increasingly ubiquitous in Singapore, and in many parts of SEA, during this pandemic.
Given that the Q2 financial period coincided with Phase 2 (heightened alert) in SG, as well as lockdowns in manh of SEA Ltd’s key markets, I am quietly optimistic that SEA will be able to grow revenues Y/Y despite its record results last year.
I’ve also noticed that Shopee has increased its S&M expenditure during a period where its main competitors (like Lazada) have seemingly reduced advertising. It has many great new partnerships, with amazing merchants such asDon Don Donki
Will this expenditure impact SEA’s bottom line? Or will it finally turn a profit?
Also bear in mind that $Altimeter Growth Corp.(AGC)$- GRAB’s SPAC is hot on its heels. Not to be outdone, Grab has also been enthusiastically pursuing partnerships with many merchants as it fights to become SEA’s #1 superapp!
So who would you buy! Grab or SEA? Comment below :p
