Buy because of the company not because of the price

$NIO Inc.(NIO)$A lot of people have been saying buy the dip. But what does it actually mean? For example if the company is doing well, but it's share prices drop because of people taking profits short term. That's buying the dip. If the company is generating lesser profits this quarter due to expansion. I would still say, buy the dip. But if the company is going down because of bad management, then I'll recommend to steer clear. Not every dip is a buying opportunity. Always do your due research and understand why the price of the company is going down.
