not sure how mainstream autonomous vehicles will get, especially in cities where roads are so integrated with other modes of mobility eg cycling, walking that might pose a danger to civilians if not programmed well. but definitely see meaningful use cases in certain industries eg deliveries to increase operational efficiencies. question remains how it can be successfully integrated alongside other transportation modes at scale, with safety as primary consideration.
